How many of us like to see our children fail? Obviously non of us I know silly question right? Well as adults how often do we struggle and fail at something? Its a natural process in life. As much as we do not like to see our children fail if we are always there to “bail them out” how will they ever gain the tools required to problem solve through life?
Have you heard of the helicopter parent? As we know things are forever changing in our world and helicopter parents are almost a term of the past. The new title out there is the lawnmower parent. In this video I explain and provide the definition of a lawnmower parent. Along with how we should try to avoid falling under this title if you will for the betterment of our children.
I am a 35 year old wife and mother of four children. August 12th of this year my husband and I will be celebrating 11 years married. We have a son Josiah who is 9 years old, Malachi and Naomi who are 6 year old twins, we miscarried twins and shortly after found out we were pregnant with our rainbow baby Asher who is 2 years old. I recently resigned at Children's Aid Scoiety were I was a Protection Worker for 10 years. In September I opened my own home daycare and I have been enjoying the extra fun and crazy that brings to my life. I take my different roles I play in life really serious and spend time trying to figure out where I can improve. Thank you for stopping by and taking time to read what is on my heart to share. I look forward to learning from you all as well as we walk through this journey of raising our gifts.
